BEVERLY HILLS BREAST ENHANCEMENT

Over 300,000 breast augmentations were performed in 2007. Breast enhancement has now become one of the most common elective surgeries performed in the United States.

At his Beverly Hills plastic surgery center, Dr. Linder places well over 1000 breast implants per year.

Dr. Linder positions breast implants as perfectly as possible by placing them under the nipple and down subpectorally using the dual plane technique. The lateral third retromammary subglandular and the medial two-thirds under the pectoralis major muscle.

Placing the implants with two-thirds muscle coverage reduces visibility, palpability, allows for better contour of the upper pole of the implant and also reduces capsular contracture and hardening versus placing the implants subglandular.

It also is useful for detecting calcifications or breast masses on mammography, thereby improving radiographic diagnoses with mammography. Rippling is much less significant medially as well when there is pectoralis muscle covering the medial portion of the implant, especially on the thin ectomorphic built women.

Breast augmentation surgeries are performed daily with Dr. Linder in his center. He specializes in breast augmentation, breast enhancement and enlargement surgery, as well as revising women for multiple reasons, including a desire to change the shape or size of the implant.

Patients who have developed capsular contracture and hardening require an open capsulectomy or open capsulectomy, implant exchange, as well as women who have had problems with placement of their original implants or malposition causing a severe deformity of the chest.

Breast augmentation should only be performed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeons, doctors who are Diplomates of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Make sure that your doctor also uses Board Certified Anesthesiologists and not nurses, to put you to sleep in order to make sure that there are no problems under general anesthesia.

Also, make sure the surgery center is licensed and certified. Our center is Medicare and State Licensed. This is the highest credentialing in the State of California for an Ambulatory Surgery Center which should give the patient peace of mind - knowing that they are in the safest place possible when undergoing breast augmentation surgery.
