How Do I Get Rid of Unwanted Fat?

Most patients that come into my Beverly Hills office inquiring about liposuction state that even with dieting and exercising there are persistent areas of their bodies that are difficult to eliminate the fat permanently.
The stomach (pooch) after pregnancy, the fat along the flanks, back, and outer and inner thighs seem to be most challenging. Genetically, each patient has individual fat distribution and a unique body shape, and therefore no amount of diet and exercise will remove these stubborn fat deposits.
As a board-certified plastic surgeon, liposuction is an excellent approach to combat these frustrating areas. For the past 20 years, I have been performing this treatment, and in most cases, this has proven to be an effective and permanent solution for patients.
During the procedure, I carefully and precisely remove excess fat through a small, hollow tube called a cannula. Suction is applied as I move the cannula through the fat deposit, removing fat cells and sculpting a slimmer contour. In my Beverly Hills practice, I find liposuction to be very effective when treating these following areas:
- Lateral thigh
- Medial thigh
- Hip area
- Around the knees
- Lower stomach
- Under the arm
- Breast tissue in men
