Two months ago I was presented with a 28-year-old female who was referred to me by her general practitioner. She was looking to have a tumor removed from her left shoulder while keeping the scar to a minimum due to the location of the mass.

During the consultation, the patient expressed that she was experiencing pain in the shoulder area, and after listening to her concerns, we agreed to schedule a surgery date.

During the surgery, I found that the enlarged tumor was actually attached to the muscle, which is why the patient was in pain. I removed the lipoma tumor that measured 8 cm by 9 cm. The tumor was sent to the lab and came back as benign.

Six weeks after surgery the scar is healing well, and by one year, the scar should almost be unnoticeable. The patient is happy, and it was nice to see her kind words on a review site.
